Frida is a delightful 100% arabica, single-origin coffee from Mexico that offers a harmonious balance of sweetness and bitterness. It is cultivated by the indigenous communities TzotzУl and TzeltИl with the support of Yachil Xojobal Chuichan project and it is crafted with great attention to detail and quality. The careful selection of arabica beans ensures a complex and rich flavor profile, embodying the perfect balance of boldness and smoothness. The beans are washed to enhance of the aroma and a persistent aftertaste.

Organoleptic values

Frida offers a rich and balanced profile with prominent dark chocolate and cacao nib flavors, paired with smooth nutty notes of hazelnut and almond. Hints of honey contribute a delicate sweetness, while fruity undertones of blackberries, grape, and lychee add a juicy, vibrant complexity. Subtle floral notes of jasmine and honeysuckle bring aromatic elegance, enhancing the overall experience. The coffee features a medium body, a clean and pleasant aftertaste, and an overall balanced cup with layered flavors that make it both inviting and refined.

Why am I sustainable?

"New light in the sky": this is the name of the cooperative that collects and processes the coffee of the Zapatista communities in Chiapas, Mexico.
Frida single-origin coffee has the aroma of freedom and autonomy, cultivated and harvested by the approximately 800 members belonging to eight municipalities in Chiapas, in solidarity with the Zapatista movement for the respect of indigenous rights.
Here, the Yachil Nueva Luz coop supports and coordinates the Zapatista communities by gathering their harvest and supporting their many social projects that aim to ensure real gender equality and children's right to play among their priority battles.
